Specializes in:
My specialty is First Time Home Buyers. However, I can work with anyone, Buyers and Seller’s. Most of my business comes through referral and repeat clients. I also handle Commercial Property Management, managing a Commercial Condominium Association as well as multiple Commercial and Industrial Buildings in the Township. I have been licensed to sell Real Estate since 2002 and I am in the process of taking all the courses necessary to get my Broker’s License and continue my families established philosophies and goals.
Background:
After graduating with my Biology degree from Ursinus College, I had a brief employment as an intern at a major pharmaceutical company. As a backup, I went into Real Estate. But soon, as the months went by and the prospects of employment in my field dwindled due to other layoffs, I turned my fullest attentions to my current career. I’m a Director with the Montgomery County Association of REALTORS®. I’m also an Accredited Buyers Representative or ABR and acquired my GREEN Designation in 2009, the National Association of REALTORS® designation for real estate professional seeking sustainability of housing and development for the future. You can contact me directly if you are thinking about buying or selling, or if you just have some questions about the real estate market in general. If you’d like to search for a home Realtor.com or DanHelwigRealtors.com both have search engines to search thousands of properties online. If you see something you like let me know!
I work very hard during the day, usually 7 days a week. I enjoy seeing live music, whether it be original or cover music. Wish I could play myself, but fortunately I have many talented friends who play. I enjoy live outdoor venues, camping through the northern states and throughout Canada. I’ve traveled abroad to Austria, Costa Rica ( where I did Rain Forest Research in College through the Organization for Tropical Studies Program), Aruba, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, most all of the United States. I’m big on long walks especially in the fall which is my favorite season, antiquing, cooking, reading, and when time permits zoning out for a few hours doing art work. I minored in art at Ursinus College in the hopes of being a Scientific Illustrator on the side. Sad to say Real Estate takes up most of my time so I’ve had little time to do any art work as of late.
I’m a very active Rotarian, please check out Rotary International. We are a service-based group of working business leaders and professional who work on making the world a better place through “Service Above Self”. My father is a Rotarian, and from a very young age I have been engaged in Rotary projects. Springfield Township Rotary along with millions of other Rotarians around the globe work together to promote peace and understanding, promote education & health. Rotary is responsible for the founding of The United Nations, Easter Seals, the very close at hand Eradication of Polio through their Polio Plus Campaign. We go to countries where disasters have occurred to lend support, both emotionally and in the forms of shelter and food. We reach out to children with our Wheel Chair Foundation, with our surgeries to children with Cleft Lips and Cleft Pallets. Bottom line, it’s a wonderful group that weekly meets to make the world a better place. I’m all about leaving this world a little brighter for the next generation.
