I speak from experience of Dan Helwig’s company (separate from reality company) that purchases and rehabs houses and then sells the homes thru the reality company. In the summer, we purchased a home that has rehabbed by one of Dans companies with his reality company representing him as the seller. After two weeks of living in the new house, we had new insulation put in. During this process, the workers had to cut into several walls and discovered major issues with newly installed duct work for the HVAC system.We communicated the problem as soon as we were aware to dan’s company doing the rehab. A few weeks later, we followed up with another challenge that was unfolding… in main rooms of the house the mortar in the tile flooring was appearing to “disintegrating.” Pleasant conversations followed with the company stating someone would be out to look at the situation and we all would work towards a mutually agreeable resolution. (We were told the takes great pride I. It’s work and stands by it.). This dragged on for months. The seasons changed from summer to fall to the start of winter. Since the one of the big problems with the HVAC involved the heating functionality of the system, we were forced to spend thousand of dollars in emergency repairs. We informed the company if the urgent need for repair. We provided a reasonable time for a response. Unfortunately, the response for the company came after we had to move forward with emergency repairs. During the repairs, a worker from the company finally came to the house… the worker even spoke the the HVAC contractor doing the emergency repairs. The staff member confirmed that there were problems/mishaps the HVAC system/duct work and tile work that the company did not correctly do the work. Upon leaving, The worker said that we would be hearing from the company in the near future to talk about a mutually agreeable resolution. That was at the start of winter. We’ve followed up several times and have not received any response. Now, with several more months passing by since the workers visit, I have given up hope that the company will follow thru to rectify the situation. So, I share our experience so others can be cautious and hopefully avoid the experience we’ve had, which has resulted in unexpected financial expenses, frustration, and disappointment.

I have just sold my home and purchased a new home using the services of Helwig Realty. If I could give Amanda 100 stars I would. This is the go to realtor when you want to purchase or sell. Amanda was the best by far realtor I have ever used. She was always attentive to all my needs, kind, and available anytime you needed her. She made you feel like family. I would highly recommend Helwig realtors to anyone who wants superior service.
